Caesar: What did you say to your sister when you volunteered for her at the Reaping?
Katniss: I told her that I would try to win for her.

I thought the interview between Caesar Flickerman and Katniss was pirtrayed perfectly in the film. In hindisght, without Peeta’s interview, she seemed bland and boring, with this question being the only time you felt she was being…real. And Peeta’s interview just thrust her into the limelight. Like in the book it made her desirable, it completely changed the dynamic of everything - because of his interview. The Girl on Fire was a nickname. The Star-Crossed Lovers tale got her noticed. She owe(s/d) so much to Peeta after that interview of his it is ridiculous. But yeah, I love how they somehow managed to have it mirror the book perfectly.- Callum

Think you’re good at Draw Something? Think again because this drawking off Katniss as played by Jennifer Lawrence blows anything you may have done out the water.
Also, for you THG fans, this was done on DRAW SOMETHING!. I mean, how fricking awesome is that?
Takes being a Tribute to a new level!

@xpuccadiza

The interview I believe you are referring to (where Jennifer Lawrence is playing with doll versions of Gale, Peeta and Katniss) is the one with French Show El Hormiguero .

There are clips on YouTube but so Jennifer Lawrence has been dubbed over in French - you can just make out what she is saying though.

The Hanging Tree

just-nobody-in-particular:

This version of the Hunger Games’ “The Hanging Tree” has been stuck in my head for about a day straight.

Luce reblogged this same version the ‘The Hanging Tree’ last week (herboywithbread.tumblr.com/post/21023139278/out-of-all-the-hanging-tree-songs-ive-heard-this) and I have to say, it’s really grown on me and I really like it to the point I hope they do a similar rendition in the movie,  just bring it down an octave (to suit Jennifer’s voice) and perhaps loose the eerie-ness of vibrato in the voice and the instruments in the background - perhaps the ‘oohs’ also as it is meant to be accapella after all.
(I hope I have got my technical jargon right here).

But yeah, it’s pretty damn awesome and I think you all should check it out.

My Dad suggested reading them again, but slower.
After finishing the books, I completely lost my will. I just curled up in bed holding my pillow rocking back and forth.
I am lending the books to my friend who reads Jane Eyre for ‘fun’.I must make sure I lay down some ground rules before she reads them to me though, especially as my Panem ID and Mockingjay Pin have arrived through the post.
The ID is now in my wallet and I will not leave home without the pin. I may even buy another - after I have bought some other versions of the THG trilogy.

Was it just me who burst out laughing in the Cinema at this point, or did anyone else?
I mean, I was the only one in my Cinema who laughed, but still…
AND THE LOOK ON SENECA CRANE’S FACE = PRICELESS

is it me, or did anybody else notice this?

josh hutcherson was an inspiration for jennifer lawrence to keep acting and stay in nyc when she was younger because he was from KY (like she is) and doing well.

kind of like how peeta saved katniss by giving her bread that kept her alive.

years later, they get picked out of out hundreds of kids to play the parts of peeta and katniss.

kind of like how katniss and peeta were picked out of hundreds of kids at the reaping for the games.

then, they become really good friends while filming the hunger games and are planning to film catching fire

kind of like how katniss and peeta become very close in the 74th hunger games and then are picked again for the 75th hunger games.

the best part is that they’re both from kentucky

AKA district 12

This had to be reblogged.
It’s amazing, uncanny and show’s the sign of a fan who thinks outside the box.
Honestly, I loved reading this post so much!

What he really means to say is..

“You look into her eyes and you’re like” I LOVE YOU AND WANT TO BE WITH YOU FOREVER JENNIFER LAWRENCE!

And that, Josh Hutcherson, is definitely something I 100% agree with.
