Caesar: What did you say to your sister when you volunteered for her at the Reaping?
Katniss: I told her that I would try to win for her.

I thought the interview between Caesar Flickerman and Katniss was pirtrayed perfectly in the film. In hindisght, without Peeta’s interview, she seemed bland and boring, with this question being the only time you felt she was being…real. And Peeta’s interview just thrust her into the limelight. Like in the book it made her desirable, it completely changed the dynamic of everything - because of his interview. The Girl on Fire was a nickname. The Star-Crossed Lovers tale got her noticed. She owe(s/d) so much to Peeta after that interview of his it is ridiculous. But yeah, I love how they somehow managed to have it mirror the book perfectly.- Callum

Katniss would also have to have known that those who would suffer the most from a final Hunger Games would be innocents, and that the people actually responsible for Prim's death (and all of the others) would only be hurt by association. If they really wanted to rightfully punish the Capitol, they should have tried to force the responsible adults into the Games. (After all, sending adults to the Games wasn't a problem for the Quarter Quell.) I'm talking about this too much, but who cares? =P
just-nobody-in-particular asked

I find it rather interesting actually :’)

Yes, Katniss would have known that those responsible would be hurt by association, but that was/is the point, and that was the point of the original Hunger Games: harm the children so the older generations suffer (it’s the quickest way to affect the emotions).

Therefore, the idea of using the Capitol’s children in the Games over the adults (who would happily sacrifice their lives to protect their children’s), would punish the Capitol Citizens ten-fold.

Isn’t it strange how the smallest of gifts can become the symbol of revolution?A simple brooch through Panem into turmoil. Became the symbol for the Districts to overthrow the Capitol. Overthrow President Snow.
It makes you wonder, what is possible and how susceptible we truly are…

The Hunger Games takes on the world!

With The Hunger Games an unprecedented success, fans from around the world have been wondering when they might get their chance to see some of the stars. It seems Australia already knows as the actresses playing Glimmer (Leven Rambin) and Prim (Willow Shields), as well as the actor playing Thresh (Dayo Okeniyi), will be making a guest appearance at Melbourne’s Comi-con from June 30 - July 1!

There is one snatch though; tickets to see them will cost $350 and there is limited availability…
